Q. How was it determined what hotel options to choose for this form? |
A. The Hotel RFP questions were taken from the 1999 version of the Standard National Business Travel Association (NBTA) RFP form. |
Q. Who should be using the Hotel RFP? |
A. Using Deliberation™ Hotel RFP Service, travel coordinators who periodically compile corporate hotel directory, conference organizers or meeting planners can submit Requests for Proposals to hotels or hotel chains anywhere in the World. In turn, every hotel can submit a response bid through the same service. |
Q. What does RFP stand for? |
A. Request for proposal |
Q. How long will it take to receive the information from the hotels? |
A. The query will be sent electronically to the hotel on the day it is submitted. From there on, it is up to each hotel whether to follow-up with the response to your RFP. Note that we will have to fax your RFP to the hotels that do not have email connections, which might take additional time. |
Q. How can I add my hotel to your system? |
A. You can submit your hotel to our database by filling out the Hotel Registration Request. There will be a US$10 charge for every Hotel Registration Request. (Registration is free until January 1, 1999). You can also advertise on our site, to obtain better exposure with potential customers. Note that your registration entails no ongoing or maintenance costs and no obligation to reply to any corporate RFP that we might send you in the future, or to pay for such services. |
Q. How do I suggest further improvements to the Business Travel RFP Service? |
A. Please do leave suggestions for the Hotel RFP by filling out a Questionnaire or by leaving a message in our Guestbook. |
Q. How can I register my company with your service? |
A. You can register your company with our service by filling out the Client Registration form. At present, client registration is free. Note that corporate registration entails no service costs and no obligation to submit RFPs. |
Q. How much do your clients have to pay for this service? |
A. The basic service is currently free for business travel coordinators and corporate planners. Your registration entails no ongoing or maintenance costs and no obligation to reply to any corporate RFP that we might send you in the future or to pay for such services. To register, use the form on page http://www.arraydev.com/travel/cgi-bin/register.cgi. |
Q. What are hotel transactional fees for your service? |
A. Hotels pay US$10 transactional fees on the receipt of each RFP that they agree to accept or for the use of the Reply Form. A hotel does not have to pay anything if it decides not to accept a particular RFP. |
Q. Would your service benefit a small chain or even an independent hotel? |
A. Yes, it would definitely benefit a small chain or independent hotel, as with your registration we will include your hotel in the list for all worldwide clients to consider. There is no additional effort required by the clients to submit the RFP to any number of hotels, large or big, locally or worldwide. |
Q. What are the main advantages of using your service? |
A. As some of your leading competitors have already found, it is the most efficient and the least expensive way to exchange corporate requests and hotel replies. As well, many large corporations currently insist that all the hotel response bids are only submitted in electronic form and in the predefined standard format. They no longer even consider bids submitted by the fax or through courier delivery. Our Internet RFP service is fully consistent with electronic RFP/bid interchange requirements and thus could save much time and labor resources to you and your clients. |
Q. As a hotel, why should I encourage my existing clients to use this service? |
A. The use of our service helps to build strong relationship and reinforces the brand loyalty that your clients have developed with your hotel chain. By encouraging your corporate clients to use this service, you proactively cementing your mutual relationship, which is to your competitive advantage. |
Q. Is it technically difficult to use your service? |
A. Using our Hotel RFP Service is quite simple and the users do not require any special technical training or software installation on their computers. |
Q. As a hotel, how would I know whether the RFP came from a sound company? |
A. For an additional fee, we will send you a Special Report with the reliable financial and business information on a company that requests your bid. |
Q. My hotel does not have access to email. Can we still use your services? |
A. If a particular hotel does not have access to email, the request can be delivered by fax or surface mail. |
Q. Do you give more RFP opportunities to the hotels that also place an ad? |
A. We do not decide to which hotels an RFP will be sent. It is entirely up to the Client to instruct us who to send it to. We just resend the RFP to all hotels the Client selects. However, one can safely assume that the ads provide an additional exposure to the advertiser on our site. Clients often select the vendor with the best ad, that's life. |
Q. Are the hotels or the Clients of the Travel RFP service required to place an ad on your site as a condition of registration? |
A. No, it is entirely up to the Clients of our services. |
Q. Do the hotels offer free clubs memberships, and credit points for
booking training events in their hotels? |
A. We haven't found such a promotional program yet. If any of the participating hotels have it, please notify our company. |
